Congrats to Tammera Mittelstet in being awarded the Milken Educator Award. Tammera is Will Rogers Elementary and Highland Park Elementary’s Gifted Resource Coordinator. The Milken Educator Award comes with $25,000 to be spent at her discretion. State Superindendent Barresi stated “I’m thrilled for Ms. Mittelstet to win this prestigious award. To be recognized as an outstanding educator from among her peers by one of the top supporters of education in the country is an honor. To get to spend this money in any way she would like is a double treat.”
The last OSU football game of the season brought in $505.00 and the tailgate party was a lot of fun. We had a great turnout of volunteers and a number of 6th graders (5th graders from last year) that also came to help. I will try to get the total of all the money raised from the parking fundraiser posted soon. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!
This is our last weekend of Gameday Parking for the year, and we have decided to plan a Tailgate Party! We’ve done this in the past and had a blast! Basically
everybody brings something for everybody to eat or drink, and we all graze while we are waving signs, parking cars, and visiting with fans.
The game is at 2:30 pm again, so we’ll start the “tailgate party” and parking at 11:30 am. Come one, come all! Invite other parents to come too!
The PTA has raised more money this year than ever before- way to go everybody!
Fundraising products will be in Nov 5th!! More info will be followed in Thursday Folder!!
